# Your first review in 10 minutes

In this tutorial, you take one video from upload to approval. You create a review, add your video, comment on a frame, draw an arrow on it, send the review to a client, and mark the video **Approved**.

::: info Before you start

* **Who:** anyone who can add media to a project: the organization's Owners, Admins, and Members, and the project's Project Admins and Contributors.
* **Where:** the web app, in a browser with WebGPU and hardware acceleration enabled, so you can draw.
* **You need:** a project you can edit, with media uploads and external link sharing enabled, and a short video on your computer, such as an MP4 or MOV file.
  :::

## Create a review

A review holds the items you want feedback on, in order.

1. Open your project and select **Reviews** in the left sidebar.
2. Select **Add Review** at the top of the page.
3. Type a name in **Review Name**, for example "Logo reveal", then select **Create**.

The new review appears in the list, already expanded. For more, see [Create and rename a review](/reviews/create-and-rename-a-review).

## Add your video

1. On the review's row, select **ADD MEDIA**.
2. Under **Upload from**, choose **Your Computer**, then pick your video.
3. Follow the upload in **Uploads** at the bottom right of the page.

When the upload finishes, the video shows **Processing...** while revis.io prepares it for playback. Wait until processing finishes before you open the video. For more, see [Add media to a review](/uploading/add-media-to-a-review).

## Comment on a frame

1. Select the play button at the right end of the review's row. The review opens in the player.
2. Press **Space** to play the video, and press it again to pause on a frame you want to comment on.
3. Press **C**. A comment box opens, marked with the current frame.
4. Type your comment, then select **Comment**.

The comment stays on that frame, so everyone who reads it sees what you saw. To read it, select **Notes** on the right edge of the player. For more, see [Add a comment on a frame or range](/feedback/add-a-comment).

## Draw on the frame

1. With the video still paused on your frame, select **Arrow** in the drawing tools over the video.
2. Drag on the frame, from where the arrow starts to where it points.
3. Press **D** to stop drawing.

revis.io saves the arrow on that frame. Drawing needs a browser with WebGPU; if you don't see the drawing tools, see [Draw on a frame](/feedback/draw-on-media).

## Share the review with a client

1. Select **Share** at the top right of the player.
2. Under **Access**, choose **Guests**.
3. Select **Create Link**. revis.io copies the link and shows "Share link created".
4. Paste the link into an email to your client.

Your client opens the review in their browser without a Revis account, and can comment and draw. If you don't see **Share**, an admin has turned off link sharing for the project or organization. For more, see [Share a review with external guests](/sharing/share-a-review).

## Approve the video

1. Point to the video's name at the top of the player and select **Item actions** (the three dots next to it).
2. Choose **Approved**.

The status belongs to this version of the video, so it shows as **Approved** in every review that holds it. For more, see [Approve an item or set its status](/reviews/approve-an-item).

## Where to go next

* [Upload a new version](/uploading/upload-a-new-version) when your client asks for changes.
* [Compare versions of an item](/compare-colour/compare-versions) side by side.
* [Reply to and react to a comment](/feedback/reply-and-react-to-comments).
