# Add media to a review

Upload files from your computer to a review on the **Reviews** page or in the player, or add files that are already in the project. Each file can be up to 10 GB.

::: info Before you start

* **Who:** the organization's Owners, Admins, and Members, and the project's Project Admins and Contributors. Reviewers and Viewers don't see these controls.
* **Where:** the web app.
* **You need:** a review, and files in a [supported format](/uploading/supported-formats-and-limits).
  :::

## Upload from the Reviews page

1. Open the project and select **Reviews** in the left sidebar.
2. Select the review's name to expand it.
3. On the review's row, select **ADD MEDIA**.
4. Under **Upload from**, choose **Your Computer**, then pick one or more files.
5. Follow the progress in [**Uploads**](/uploading/track-uploads-and-processing) at the bottom right of the page.

Each new item goes at the end of the review and shows **Processing...** until it's ready to play. Keep the tab open until the uploads finish.

**ADD MEDIA** shows only while a review is empty. If the review already has items, point to its row and select **+**. If you don't see **+**, widen the window, or right-click the row and select **Add media** > **Your Computer**.

You can also drag files from your computer onto an expanded review. If you drag a folder, revis.io adds the files inside it.

## Upload from the player

1. Open the review in the player.
2. Select **Add items** (the **+** above the playlist), then choose **From Computer**.
3. Pick one or more files.

You can also drag files from your computer onto the playlist.

## Add files that are already in the project

1. Open the review in the player.
2. Select **Add items** > **From Project…**, or press `⌘K` (`Ctrl+K` on Windows and Linux).
3. In **Browse from Project**, search for the files and select them. Files already in this review show **In review** and can't be selected.
4. Select **Add item**.

With more than one file selected, the button reads **Add 2 items**, **Add 3 items**, and so on. revis.io then shows how many items it added, with **Undo** for six seconds. **Undo** needs permission to delete, which Owners, Admins, and Project Admins have; for everyone else it shows **Undo failed**.

## Paste from the clipboard

* On the **Reviews** page, select **ADD MEDIA** or **+**, then **Clipboard**. revis.io adds the image on your clipboard to the review.
* In the player, press `⌘V` (`Ctrl+V` on Windows and Linux), or select **Add items** > **From Clipboard**. In **Paste media**, select **Add playlist item**.

## When a file has the same name as an item

If a file's name matches an item already in the review, **Matching files found** opens. Choose **Add as new versions** to stack each matching file on its match as a new version, or **Upload as new items**. Your choice applies to every matching file in that upload, and files with no match upload as new items. **Cancel** stops the whole upload.

Names match when they're the same apart from the extension and capital letters, so `shot_010.mov` matches `shot_010.mp4`, but `shot_v002` doesn't match `shot_v001`. On the **Reviews** page, every pasted image is named `clipboard`, so a second paste into the same review opens the dialog.

## If a file doesn't upload

* **Unsupported file format** or **File too large** (**Unsupported file formats** or **Files too large** for several) names up to three of the refused files, then "and N more". The other files still upload. Check [the format list and limits](/uploading/supported-formats-and-limits).
* **Uploads disabled**, or no **Your Computer**, **Clipboard**, or **From Computer** in the menus, means an admin has turned off media uploads for your organization. Ask an organization admin to turn on **Allow media uploads** in **Organization Settings** > **Uploads**.
* **Cannot upload: review playlist unavailable** means the review wasn't expanded yet. Expand it, then upload again.
