Appearance
Edit your profile, picture, and theme
Change the name and picture people see on your comments in Preferences > Profile. Choose a light or dark theme, a larger interface size, and folder item counts in Preferences > Appearance.
Before you start
- Who: anyone with a Revis account.
- Where: the web app, in a browser. The desktop app has no profile settings: edit your profile on the web, and the desktop app picks up your new name and picture the next time it starts.
- You need: for a new picture, a JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF, or BMP image up to 5 MB.
Change your name or picture
- Select your profile picture or initials at the bottom of the sidebar, then select Preferences. User Settings opens on Profile.
- To change your picture, select the round picture next to Profile Picture, then choose an image. It shows as a preview until you save.
- Edit First Name and Last Name. To remove a name, clear its field.
- Select Save Changes. revis.io shows Settings saved.
If revis.io can't save the picture, it shows Failed to save, and none of your changes are saved. Choose a JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF, or BMP image up to 5 MB, then select Save Changes again.
You can replace your picture, but you can't remove it. Your Email is shown for reference; you can't change it in Revis. To leave without saving, select Close (the X at the top right); revis.io asks Discard Unsaved Changes? first.
TIP
In the player, your profile picture or initials are at the top right. There, Preferences opens your settings in a new browser tab, and the review stays open in its own tab.
Choose your theme, interface size, and folder counts
- In User Settings, select Appearance.
- Under Theme, choose Light, System, or Dark. System follows your device's light or dark setting. The default is Dark.
- Under Interface size, choose 100%, 110%, 115%, 125%, or 150% to make text and controls larger. The default is 100%.
- To show the number of items next to every folder in the Files & Folders folder list, not only the one you point to, turn on Always show folder item counts.
These settings save as soon as you change them, so you don't need Save Changes here. They're stored in this browser only: set them again in another browser or on another computer.
