An invitation won't send or can't be resent
When revis.io can't send an invitation, it shows "Failed to invite" followed by the address, or "Failed to resend invitation", with the reason underneath. Find that reason below. Most fixes take a moment: correct the address or the message, revoke an old invitation, or wait and try again.
Before you start
- Who: organization Owners and Admins. Other members see Invite too, but revis.io refuses their invitations unless they choose a project where they're a Project Admin, and they can't see the pending list.
- Where: the web app, in Organization settings > Members. Project Admins inviting from a project's members see the same messages.
- You need: the message revis.io showed.
Why it happens
Send Invitations stays unavailable until the dialog is complete. After that, revis.io checks each address on its own, and checks an invitation again each time you resend it. It refuses when the person already has an invitation or is already a member, when the message contains a link, when the address can't or shouldn't get email, or when a sending limit is reached.
What to do
Send Invitations is unavailable
Check the Invite by Email dialog:
- At least one address shows as valid under Email Addresses, for example "1 valid email".
- No address is listed in red as invalid. Correct it or delete it.
- If you chose a Project (optional), choose a Project Role too. To invite without a project, clear the project instead.
Some addresses went out and others failed
revis.io sends the addresses one at a time. Those that went out leave the box, and only the failed ones stay, each with its own error message. Fix or delete them, then select Send Invitations again. revis.io doesn't send the others twice.
Messages when you send

| An error that mentions "Enter a valid email address" | The address looked valid in the dialog, but revis.io can't accept it, for example because the part after the last dot is too short. | Check the address for typos. |

Messages when you resend
Resending can also show the permission, opt-out, sending-limit, paused, and temporary-problem messages above, plus these:

The Invites list doesn't load
"Failed to load invitations" usually means your role can't manage invitations: ask an organization Owner or Admin. If you're an Owner or Admin, reload the page.
