Convert a comment into a task to give it an assignee, a due date, and a status of Open, In progress, or Done. The task sits under the comment in the player, and the Tasks page lists every task in one place. revis.io's UI also calls comments "notes".
Before you start
Who: signed-in members who can comment on the review: Owners, Admins, Members, Project Admins, Contributors, and Reviewers. Viewers can't create tasks, though an assigned Viewer can change that task's status. Guests on a share link can't use tasks.
Where: the web app. The desktop app has no tasks.
You need: a review item with at least one comment.
Open the item in the player and select Notes if the panel is closed.
Point to the comment and select More.

A comment is where a task starts. Open the item in the player and select Notes if the panel is closed. This one needs an owner.
Point to the comment and select More. Choose Convert to Task. Now give it a person.
Select Unassigned in the task bar. The task editor opens. We'll take this one ourselves.
Under Assignee, choose a person from the list. Time to start work. Select the circle at the left of the task bar.
Choose Open, In progress, or Done.
A task bar appears under the comment, showing a status circle, Unassigned, and No due date. Only top-level comments offer Convert to Task. Replies don't, and neither does a comment that already has a task.
Select Unassigned in the task bar. The task editor opens.
Under Assignee, choose a person from the list.
Under Due date, choose a day on the calendar. Select Clear to remove it.
Every change saves at once. To change them later, select the assignee's name or the date in the task bar. The date turns red when it has passed and the task isn't done.
The list shows the members of the project and the organization, but revis.io accepts only people who can open the review. For anyone else, it shows Failed to update task. Owners, Admins, Members, Project Admins, and Contributors can edit any task. A Reviewer can edit the tasks they created.
The circle is empty for Open, dotted for In progress, and a check for Done. Marking a task done doesn't resolve its comment. Anyone who can edit the task can change its status, and so can its assignee, who can change nothing else.
The task disappears at once, with no confirmation. Its comments stay. Owners, Admins, Project Admins, and the person who created the task can remove it.
Choose Assigned to me for your tasks in every project you can open, or All in project for the current project.
Use the status menu to choose which statuses show. It starts with Open and In progress, and reads All statuses when none are chosen.
Select a task to open the player at its comment.
Each row shows the status, the review's name (with the project's name under Assigned to me), the number of comments, the due date, and the assignee. The page is read-only: change a status in the player. A task converted from a comment shows the title Untitled task, so use the review's name to recognize it.
The page shows 25 tasks at a time. Select Load more for the next 25.
Assigning a task can email the assignee, depending on notification settings and how revis.io is set up. Don't rely on it. The task also appears on the assignee's Tasks page.

Assign the task and set a due date
Every change saves at once. To change them later, select the assignee's name or the date in the task bar. The date turns red when it has passed and the task isn't done.
The list shows the members of the project and the organization, but revis.io accepts only people who can open the review. For anyone else, it shows Failed to update task. Owners, Admins, Members, Project Admins, and Contributors can edit any task. A Reviewer can edit the tasks they created.
Track the status
The circle is empty for Open, dotted for In progress, and a check for Done. Marking a task done doesn't resolve its comment. Anyone who can edit the task can change its status, and so can its assignee, who can change nothing else.
Add more comments to a task
Select the X (Don't add to task) to leave the task out. The new comment gets the same task bar.
Remove a task
The task disappears at once, with no confirmation. Its comments stay. Owners, Admins, Project Admins, and the person who created the task can remove it.
