Rename, archive, or delete a project

Updated Oct 12, 2026

Rename, archive, or delete a project

Rename a project or archive it from the project's menu. Archiving hides a finished project from the Projects page, while its reviews and links keep working. Deleting removes the project and everything in it permanently.

Before you start

  • Who: anyone who can edit the project (Owners, Admins, Members, Project Admins, and Contributors) can rename and archive it. Only Owners, Admins, and the project's Project Admins can delete it.
  • Where: the web app. In the desktop app, the project cards on the Projects page of Browse Reviews and Flow have the same More options menu.

Rename a project

  1. Open the project's menu. On the Projects page, select More options (the three-dot button) on the project's card. Inside the project, select the project's name at the top of the page.
  2. Choose Rename.
  3. Enter the new name and select Rename.

You can also change the name and description in Project settings > General, then select Save Changes.

Archive or unarchive a project

  1. Open the project's menu.
  2. Choose Archive….
  3. In Archive Project?, select Archive.

The project leaves the Projects page's Active Projects view and appears under All Projects and Archived Projects, with an Archived badge. Its reviews and links keep working, and it's still listed under your organization when you select your organization's icon at the top of the sidebar.

To bring it back, open its menu and choose Unarchive. There's no confirmation.

Delete a project

DANGER

Deleting a project deletes all of its reviews, items, and folders. It doesn't go to Trash, and you can't restore it.

  1. Open the project's menu.
  2. Choose Delete….
  3. In Delete Project?, type the project's name exactly as shown.
  4. Select Delete.

You can also archive or delete a project from the Danger Zone at the bottom of Project settings > General.
